Starting in 2015 with one employee, Rachel is now backed up by a team of draughters & designers. Together, the company is creating beautiful spaces for a wide range of clients.

Meet the Team
Rachel Cleverly
Creative Director
Rachel has a back ground beginning in Interior Design with a Diploma of Interior Design from Unitech, Auckland. She then set off for the big smoke of London, UK. Working for an architect firm in Hitchin, outside of London for two years. For the next step it her journey it was time to head back to NZ. Where for her family’s residential and commercial building company, she branched further into the building industry as a frame and truss estimator and detailer. Rachel became qualified with her Mitek COC and gained a huge knowledge of timber and steel construction. The next chapter was to combine the interior design passion, with the latterly acquired structural experience which has resulted in a LBP Architectural Designer and most exciting venture yet, setting out on her own.
With this sturdy platform, broard skill set and most importantly the passion for design, Rachel creates practical, comfortable, affordable & stylish designs to fit all briefs. Rachel shares a passion of design, art, travel and food with her Husband Sean. Between the business and her young daughter, Rachel is always on her toes.
Jamie-Lee
Architectural DesignerJaime-Lee has been part of the C2 Team since the very beginning and has enjoyed seeing C2 Design grow and flourish. Jamie has a natural curiosity and is always craving more so enjoys the constructional approach and the finer details in complex designs.
When Jamie isn’t being our office problem-solver she loves to be outdoors! Whether it be hitting the pavement with her roller skates or wandering our beautiful coastline!
Kelsey
Architectural DesignerHaving come to us for an internship, Kelsey showed her potential pretty quickly! Kelsey has a drive to do things right which is always shown in her work, She is an honest and dependable member of the team and has always had a passion for architectural design.
Away from the office Kelsey doesn’t like to stray too far from designing – maybe designing homes in The Sims is her go to.
When she finally gets outdoors, finding new places to explore with her friends is her favorite pastime.
Maria
Architectural DesignerIn 2020 Maria graduated with a Diploma in Architectural Design, she is passionate about learning all aspects of the industry with the aim of being able to turn people’s ideas into reality. Maria has an abundance of patience and can view the world through the eyes of others, which is a great skillset to have when dealing with clients and external contractors.
When Maria isn’t in the office developing her skills further she is busy enjoying family life with her husband and 3 little boys. She originates from England so likes to explore New Zealand and experience everything it has to offer.
Sophia
Architectural DesignerSophia comes from a property background of 8 years and has naturally integrated her creative nature and her recent completion of a Diploma in Architectural Technology into her role at C2 Design.
Sophia enjoys any opportunity to upskill and take on new challenges and is consistently setting new goals within her role combined with an always positive attitude.
Outside of the office, you will find Sophia painting, tending to her plants, or exploring with her partner and energetic daughter alongside completing further study towards a Diploma in Construction.
Jennie
Accounts & PayrollJennie is our accounts and payroll person. She has been with Rachel since the beginning of C2 (and even before that considering she is Rachel’s mother!). She enjoys being able to be flexible in her working hours for C2, to fit around other business commitments.
Away from work, Jennie volunteers at an Op Shop one morning a week, and enjoys plenty of grandma days too. Her rural property with a large garden is her happy place, and she loves spending time outdoors pottering with her dogs never far away.
Becy
Executive AssistantWith over 8 years experience as an EA in the public sector, Becy joined C2 Design in May 2021 to provide support to our Creative Director. She brings lots of administrative experience and has helped the team gain efficiency and ensures we meet all of our timelines.
Out of the office Becy enjoys keeping active, good coffee and reluctantly helping her husband with home renovations.
As of June 2022 C2 Design is a certified member of Architectural Designers New Zealand (ADNZ)
